With the Star Trac Functional Trainer you will get scared at first with the price tag, but once you get over the initial fright you will find a great home gym. Its vertical towers are adjustable and can offer a wide range of exercises for upper body, plus all kinds of exercise types.

One drawback is that the bench isn’t included, so that has to be added to the price that is already a bit high. But, once again, if you try this home gym you will be looking beyond the price and discovering new benefits as you go along.

Sturdy and easy to use

The Star Trac Functional Trainer uses a cable crossover system that has two pulleys in each tower attached to independent weight stacks. The pulleys allow exercises from low, mid or high stations. Plus, you have the choice of 7 multipurpose attachments: Ankle Strap, Triceps Rope, Chain Link, 2 D-Ring Straps, Swivel Lat Bar and Padded Belt.

These will open doors to a wide variety of exercises that will work your chest with pulls and crossovers, abs with crunches, your back with cable flies, triceps with press downs, biceps with cable curls and extensions for your legs.

It offers everything that a beginner, and someone that is willing to take fitness exercises seriously, wants. Its exercises allow you to shape your muscles to perfection, and while you exercise you can easily change the resistance and attachments, it is great for beginners.

Another thing to consider is the design of this tower that makes it besides being comfortable, it takes little space and it is easy to setup in a corner of your room and have it ready in the morning. It also doesn’t make much sound, so you won’t wake up anyone while working out.
