Stamina Bandflex Home Gym Review

The Stamina Bandflex Home Gym has a complete lat tower and a leg curl extension unit, plus a preacher curl bar attachment. These will give a wide variety of exercises for strength and cardiovascular training. It is cheap and has some innovative features that make it a good buy.

One innovative idea on the Bandflex is the resistance that is produced by 6 bungee cables that are stretched as you exercise and cause resistance. For more resistance you just need to add another bungee cable, and these are inexpensive so you can have some extra in the house.

Bandflex, Bowflex or Crossbow

If you look for reviews about the Stamina Bandflex Home Gym you will get lots of comparisons about this gym and two others: Stamina Bowflex and Weider Crossbow. The Bandflex is a cheaper alternative to both of these models, understandably not as good as the other.

There is one thing that keeps this home gym behind the others; it isn’t as strong as the others. It is obvious that to lower the price of the gym, Stamina had to cut on something and the materials differences stand out as not that strong as the other models. But in the end that isn’t much of a problem for the price you pay.

It has a great 290 pounds resistance that uses bungee cables. One thing that you need to have around is some extra of these cables, not that the 290 pounds resistance isn’t enough to make anyone sweat and really put you to the test, but these cables tend to stretch over the time and lose resistance, so a pair of new cables always comes in hand to keep the resistance in shape.

It also has a double padded bench for extra comfort. It can be easily folded to save space if you are not using it and take only 22’’ by 28’’. It was designed thinking of home users and is a great choice if you are looking for a budget friendly home gym that is easy to use and can easily fit in your home.

Stamina Bandflex Home Gym at a Glance…

Pros:

  1. Cheap, light and quiet
  2. Can be folded to save space
  3. Over 30 exercises
  4. Leg Press station

Cons:

  1. The resistance bands need to replaced periodically

The Stamina Bandflex Home Gym is a cheaper alternative to the Bowflex Home Gym and the Weider Crossbow, it does make the other run for their money but just isn’t as good. It is light weighted and can be folded to save space while not in use, it is quiet for not using weights and the bungee cables offer a great alternative for resistance.
