In other words, we’re looking at value for money. This machine is basically in lower end of the price spectrum. If I may say so, the price range of this product does not surpass $ 1000 as of this time. Of course, this is subject to change and may still go up or down depending on several factors which will not be discussed here. We will focus instead on why fitness experts think it’s a good buy.

Body Solid EXM1500S Home Gym: Review

Like most home gym machines, one of the more challenging concerns would be setting up the machine. The manual that comes with the product can be made better so it doesn’t come off as confusing, most especially to the people without experience in setting up a product such as this, which comes with a whole lot of parts.

Once set up, I already noticed it is more compact in size compared to the other machines out there. It has several stations available: Lat Pulldown / High Pulley, Ab Crunch/Mid Pulley, Leg Extension/Leg Curl, Chest Press and Seated Row/Low Pulley stations. These stations basically mean the different parts of the machine that you use to target a specific muscle group.

Using the machine doesn’t feel awkward at all. The feeling is similar to what you will experience when you are using the machines found at health clubs. The compact size can deceive you into thinking this is not sturdy enough but it is. For beginners and intermediate users at least.

Having a 160 lb alloy weight stack would mean more advanced users may find this weight group insufficient. There are other machines out there that offer around 300 to 400 lbs of weight stacks. If you find a 160 lb resistance to be more than sufficient for you, then this machine would be a good machine to choose.

Body Solid EXM2500S Home Gym: Review

The instruction manual on how to assemble this machine needs work. There’s no surprise in this aspect. All the machines I’ve tried have problems with the set up. Once this has been done though, you will see that the Body Solid EXM2500S Home Gym has an almost health club quality to it.  The construction, smooth operation and durable finish makes one feel it is not just any ordinary home gym equipment.

At the beginning of this review, I mentioned how several people can use the machine at the same time. This can be done because there are different stations that two people can use separately. There is the upper pulley that is comprised of the Lat Pull Down, the Cable Crossover, the Ab Crunch, the Tricep Extension and the Tricep Pressdown. For the lower puller, you can make use of the Deltoid Raise, the Seated Row, the Shrug, the Bent-over Row, the Standing Curl and the Leg Adduction. Did I mention there’s also the Chest press and the Pectoral Fly/Rear Delt station?
Because there are two 210-pound weight stacks, the upper and lower pulley can be used separately. You might just run into a little problem though because some exercises mean you have to remove a pulley to put in cables specific to some exercises. This is a slight inconvenience you can live with.

When I used this product, I understand how the product was engineered with precision and top ergonomic features. There is lumbar support provided by DuraFirm pads. Everything feels solid and natural when used.
